Evo kompletne procedure koriscenja preparata sa Aluminijumom:
Follow the steps below for a sweat free result:
1. When you first obtain 20% aluminum chloride, you may be eager to try it out immediately, the
very second you pull it from the box. Resist this impulse. Only apply the medicine at night,
when you are going to be lying down and sleeping for at least six to eight hours. This is when
your sweat glands will be inactive.
Before going to bed, take a bath or shower. Wash your armpits carefully, using a mild antibacterial
soap. Do not apply perfume, powder, or any other type of deodorant or antiperspirant to
your underarms, as this will interfere with the effectiveness of the 20% aluminum chloride and
may cause irritation of the skin under your arms as well.
Shave your armpits (yes guys I know we don`t usually do this but it is important to get results)
Do not shave immediately prior to using the product though give at least several hours before
aplication, as using 20% aluminum chloride on freshly shaved skin may cause a painful or
burning sensation or an itchy rash. Before applying 20% aluminum chloride, check the skin
under your arms carefully for any signs of rashes, open wounds, or other irritations. Do not apply
aluminum chloride to broken or otherwise damaged skin. If you are not sure whether the 20%
aluminum chloride is safe for your skin, talk to your doctor or dermatologist.
2. Dry the skin under your arms thoroughly. Make sure that there is no moisture left under your
arms. Aluminum chloride applied to wet skin produces an unpleasant chemical called
hydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acid is a corrosive material, meaning that it can eat into your
skin, injuring the delicate tissue and causing a painful burning sensation. In order to make
absolutely, 100%, sure that the skin is dry, set a hair dryer to the "low heat" or "cool" setting and
let the air blow onto the skin under your arms for five to ten minutes.
3. Lie flat on your back. This is an important step because lying flat on your back will temporarily
stop the production of armpit sweat. Aluminum chloride works by entering the eccrine and
apocrine sweat glands and causing them to swell, thus blocking the output of perspiration. Used
over time, 20% aluminum chloride can prolong the swelling effect and may actually shrink the
sweat glands themselves. Shrunken sweat glands produce less sweat. However, if you are
sweating when you apply the aluminum chloride, it will not be able to get into the sweat glands
and it will not be as effective. Apply the 20% aluminum chloride evenly in a thin layer to the
skin of your underarms. Some products, like Drysol, contain alcohol. Allowing the alcohol to
evaporate quickly will help minimize your risk of skin irritation. Again, use a hair dryer on the
"low heat" or "cool" setting to dry the skin under your arms.
4. Aluminum chloride works best when covered with plastic or saran wrap to keep it from rubbing
off in the night and to protect the bedclothes from damage and discoloration. Some people take a
long strip of saran wrap and wrap it under the arm and over the shoulder a few times. Others find
this method difficult, not to mention bulky and uncomfortable. A snug-fitting t-shirt will
accomplish the same purpose. Aluminum chloride can damage and stain clothes, so choose an
older t-shirt that can afford some stains--a t-shirt that you would wear to clean the house or paint
the kitchen is perfect. Leave the solution on through the night, at least six to eight hours. To avoid
sweating, try to lie still. Each time you get up and the sweat glands start to produce sweat,
the 20% aluminum chloride is blocked from doing its job effectively.
5. In the morning, remove the plastic wrap or the t-shirt and wash your underarms with a mild soap.
Be sure to remove all of the 20% aluminum chloride. This step is extremely important. If you fail
to get all of the 20% aluminum chloride off your skin, you might develop a painful rash or
irritation under your arms. You could also run the risk of the 20% aluminum chloride causing
damage to your clothing. Do not use any other deodorant or antiperspirant products while you
are using aluminum chloride. Using both products at once will increase your risk of skin
irritation. A tingly feeling or a little bit of itching is common after using aluminum chloride, but
if you develop an angry looking rash or if your skin begins to sting or burn, discontinue use of
the product and contact your doctor.
6. Follow these steps every night for two or three nights. By the end of that time, you should notice
a considerable decrease in underarm sweating. Do not use this product for more than seven days
in a row. If you notice no improvement after seven days, or if you are starting to develop skin
irritation, discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor or dermatologist for other
options for controlling your hyperhidrosis. Remember, 20% aluminum chloride works well in
about 80% of cases, but if you're in the unlucky 20%, you still have some options. (See also the
suggestions for controlling severe hyperhidrosis at the end of this manual.)
7. Once you have achieved control of your hyperhidrosis, use the 20% aluminum chloride one or
two times a week as needed to stay dry. When you have decreased your use of 20% aluminum
chloride to once or twice per week, you may begin using other deodorants or antiperspirants as
needed to stay dry and odor free during the day. If skin irritation occurs at any time during use of
the 20% aluminum chloride, discontinue use immediately and consult your doctor or
dermatologist.
8. If 20% aluminum chloride helps control the perspiration from your armpits, you can also use it
on other problem areas such as the hands, feet, and scalp. To treat the hands, place a thin layer of
20% aluminum chloride on the palms and allow the alcohol to dry. Cover palms with plastic
wrap and/or thin gloves. To treat the feet, place a thin layer of 20% aluminum chloride on the
soles of the feet and let the alcohol dry. Wrap the feet in saran wrap and use socks to hold the
wrap in place. On the scalp, apply evenly, avoiding any contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. A
rubber swimming cap can be used to keep the ointment from rubbing off. In the morning, rinse
thoroughly. (If you used 20% aluminum chloride on your scalp, remember to also rinse the
bathing cap that you used to cover you head. It should be completely clean before each night's
use.) As was true with the underarm perspiration, you will probably start to see results within a
few days. After that, you will probably need to continue using the product a couple of times a
week to maintain your preferred level of dryness.[/b]
