ukucajte: tens fantom pain
dobicete vise sajtova o temi elektrostimulacije kod fantomskog bola.
Ne znam nista o toj temi, pratite forum, mozda se neko ukljuci ko vise zna ili makar zna gde nesto konkretnije o tome moze da se procita.

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and acupuncture – Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and acupuncture are peripheral stimulatory techniques that appear effective for certain patients. TENS might work by stimulating A-beta fibers to "close the gate" to incoming pain signals on C and A-delta fibers [23]. Acupuncture may also work by the gate mechanism, or by activating opioidergic, serotonergic, or noradrenergic modulatory systems [24-26].

One uncontrolled study of 60 cancer patients found TENS effective in 65 percent after two weeks of treatment, but only 33 percent after three months [27]. Subjects with trunk or extremity pain responded best to TENS. In our experience and that of others, TENS is especially useful for phantom limb and post-thoracotomy pain syndromes (show figure 1) [27,28].

Our experience with these techniques in cancer pain is limited. However, the motivated patient seems more likely to respond with a feeling of well-being (especially with acupuncture) and a temporary reduction in pain. Since these methods are free of adverse effects, they should not be withheld from interested patients.

Ovo vam je primena kod bolova u slucaju karcinoma ali je princip isti.
